Why Use Hebrew Names

Over time the originals names from the time of the Patriarchs and the Messiah of Israel: Yeshua have been lost. The same name of Adonai (Lord) has been altered by the Jews themselves to avoid its wrong  pronunciation or any bad intentions by the person doing it. 

Nazarene Messianic Jews who love Elohim used the original names of the Hebrew Torah in their daily prayers and their congregations or kehila. The words “Jesús” and“Lord” are not the original names that appear in the Hebrew Bible  or Greek of the Nazarene Scriptures (New Testament). They are transcriptions that almost become certain after so many centuries of use.

But, if we respect the Torah:  the Word of Elohim, we must use the original and correct names, as well as that of the people and land of the Bible, where the Messiah of Israel lived.

If Michael Jackson were alive, he would like to be called by his name “Michael” and not by “mugiel” in spanish or any translation suited to others. So on this site we use the original names written in the Torah.

We as a Messianic Nazarene  Jewish Congregation seek to be as the congregations (Kehila or synagogue) of antiquity where we call Yeshua the Messiah of israel:

(1) in our worship of the Shabbat, we use the traditional Jewish Seder.

(2) We celebrate the Festivals and Holidays of Israel, commanded by YHWH for “Perpetual Statute“

(3) We identify with the Jewish people,

(4) and we acknowledge Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel (not God/man).

In addition, we use the siddur (prayer book), davidic dance, rolls of Torah, tallit (prayer shawl) and kipa (head cover) in our worship. We celebrate Mitzvahs and participated in other Jewish customs, clearly detailed in the Messianic Kehila Torah. Our congregation is made up of Jews and gentiles members recognizing Yeshua as the Messiah of Israel (not God-man) and his message of salvation and adherence to the commandments of Elohim.

TORAH–Means teaching and is composed of the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible (Pentateuch: Genesis to Deuteronomy). Also referred to as CHUMOSH. TORAH is used also to refer to life in the Messianic Nazarene Jewish context.

YHWH —Yahweh, personal name  of the Creator of the Universe, is formed with the letters of the Tetragrammaton, is used with vowels, forming the word ADONAI, but in the form ofTetragramon is pronounced: “iaue”. It is typically used in private prayer or praise. All books, papers, or other objects with the sacred name must not be destroyed according toDeu 12:3-4:

“And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.  Ye shall not do so unto YHWH your Elohim.
”

Therefore, it is more common to use YHVH or YHWH in the written word, since it represents the name in Hebrew of the 4 letters that make up the name of the Most High. We do not use the name HaShem (which means “the name”) since YHWH has a proper name; only we should not stop using his holy name in vain.

Everyone must remember that Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel, was a jew, of Jewish mother:Miriam, circumcised 8 days according to the Jewish Torah, lived preaching about how to comply with the commandments of the Torah of Elohim, complying as how to live lthe precepts of the Torah, as well as the Levitical festivals, dying in a Jewish Passover.
