Separate in order to prosper under the hand of Elohim

When we have difficulties, we have all wondered: Why am I in the place where I am? Why is this happening to me? Have I done something wrong YHWH? Why I have not the  abundance that your Lord, promised to those who love you? All of us have been under these circumstances, maybe because of our ignorance of the word of the Lord. David, for example, was also at this dilemma:

               2 Samuel 11:2-5 ” And it happened at evening time, David rose up from his bed and walked up and down on the roof of the king’s house. And he saw from the roof a woman bathing. And the woman was very good of form. And David sent and asked about the woman. And one said, Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
And David sent messengers and took her. And she came to him, and he lay with her. And she purified herself from uncleanness, and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived, and sent, and told David. And she said, I am with child“.

To eliminate the problem that he cause, David send Urias to the front of the battle to die so he could keep his wife. Elohim through the prophet Natan sen a message to David:

               2 Samuel 12:914  “Why have you despised the Word of YAHWEH, to do the evil in His eyes? You have stricken Uriah the Hittite by the sword, and you have taken his wife to yourself for a wife. And you have killed him by the sword of the sons of Ammon.  And now the sword shall not turn aside from your house continually, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be a wife to you. So says YAHWEH, Behold, I shall raise up evil against you out of your house, and shall take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor. And he shall lie with your wives in the sight of the sun. For you acted in secret, but I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun. And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against YAHWEH. And Nathan said to David, YAHWEH also has put away your sin; you shall not die.  Only, because you have caused to scorn the enemies of YAHWEH by this thing, also the son who shall be born to you dying shall die”.

Elohim tells David “that him has despised the word of the Lord.” David sincerely repents in his heart, and YHWH preserves life, but out of the life of David, that which pollutes: his son, from infidelity and murder.

Yet as David remained faithful, and set apart for Elohim, the Lord says of him:

               1 Kings 15:4-5  “But for David’s sake YAHWEH his Elohim gave to him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem. For David did that which is right in the eyes of YAHWEH, and did not turn aside from all that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

Great part of this transgretions have taken place because David in some cases, the same as us, we do not maintain that separation from the world, as Elohim always demands, from those who love Him:

              1 John 2:15  “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him”,

In Deuteronomy 14:2  Elohim affirms: “For you are a holy people to YAHWEH your Elohim; and YAHWEH has chosen you to be a people to Him, a special treasure out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
“.

Also YHWH affirms:

               Deuteronomy 7:2-6  ”  And when the LORD thy Elohim shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.  For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.  But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.  For thou art an holy people unto YHWH thy Elohim the LORD thy Elohim hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth“.

NOTE: As Nazarene Messianic Jews we should be carefull with whom we should associate, who we permite to enter our houses, with whom we make a sentimental partnership, etc.  Remember that we should treat everyone well , but we must avoid unequally yoked with those who do not observe the Torah.

   THERE ARE 4 STEPS TO ALLOW HIS POWER TO PROSPER OUR LIVES:

               1 Corinthians 10:31  “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of Elohim. “.
1.LOVE ELOHIM WITH ALL YOUR MIND, WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL

Elohim has to be the most important person in your life: more important than your spouce, son and daughters, parents and family, as well as your professional career, business, political parties ans everything else.

               Deuteronomy 6:4-9  “And you shalt love YHWH your Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”.

2. READ THE WORD OF ELOHIM AND DO ALL THE COMMANDMENTS, ORDERS AND STATUTES OF ELOHIM

               Joshua 1:8  ” This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. “.

               James 1:22-25  ” But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. …..But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed“.

FEED FROM THE WORD OF ELOHIM

               Hebrews 5:12-14  “Pues aunque ya debierais ser maestros, otra vez tenéis necesidad de que alguien os enseñe los principios elementales de los oráculos de Elohim ( Ley de Elohim), y habéis llegado a tener necesidad de leche y no de alimento sólido. Porque todo el que toma sólo leche, no está acostumbrado a la palabra de justicia (Ley de Elohim), porque es niño. Pero el alimento sólido es para los adultos, los cuales por la práctica tienen los sentidos ejercitados para discernir el bien y el mal.

3.REMEMBER TO CUMPLY WITH ALL YOUR TITHS, OFFERINGS AND SPECIALLY WITH TSEDAKAH TOWARD OTHERS

Tzedakah in Hebrew is “works of justice” to help, support and give monetary assistance to the needy and those causes for the common good (First to the ones of the faith).

               Proverbs 22:22-23 “Rob not the poor because he is poor, and oppress not the afflicted in the gate. For YAHWEH will contend for their cause, and will plunder the soul of their plunderers“.

                Deuteronomy 6:25  “And it shall be righteousness for us when we take heed to do all this commandment before YAHWEH our Elohim, as He has commanded us”.

4.KEEP SEPARATE, FOR ELOHIM, AS WE HAVE NOTED

               Matthew 25:32  “And before Him shall be gathered all the nations; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
“.

               1 Peter 2:9   “But you are an elect race, a royal priesthood; a holy people, and a people for possession; that you should proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness to His precious light: ”

As always YHWH our Elohim  has said, we are separated from the world; although we live our everyday life, in the world around us, we need not be a part of supporting the demonstrations, which are contrary to the commandments, statutes, and decrees issued in the Torah.
